its been awhile since ive updated so have quite a lot of things to talk about. for some reason ive been in unusually high spirits lately, which is foolish? the moody spells have been confined to short periods, and i snap out of them quite quickly. i should be more stressed!
so, tomorrow is sort of my last day in NS. will be leaving for hongkong on natday morning for my last and final safsa waterpolo hurrah. i hope it goes well, i want to leave on a high and am quite determined to do well. this could be the last time i play waterpolo competitively:( hopefully it wont be like in hk last year, where i had the dubious distinction of being the only player (san goalkeeper) NOT to score a goal in the whole tournament (queue jacking from andre).
after hk i have five working days left, four of which will be covered by leave and the remaining by mc haha. i have mixed feelings about ording la, yes like everyone else i have been looking to the end, but nevertheless it is yet another indicator of the rapid passage of time.
rapid passage of time- speaking of which, the sonnies and i visited acsi on saturday. now i REALLY feel old. it was really sad, in the past i remembered my sec school days like they were yesterday, kind of like the previous chapter in my life's story. but now, acsi feels almost distant like a completely different 'volume'. sigh.
we went there to watch an ib play called "haven", its about a orphanage during the japanese occupation. bryan's brother was in it, thats why we got tickets. the new acsi is AMAZING, with architecture that belonged more in a five-star hotel than a secondary school, think fountains and flowing water. the new theatre really rivals a major commercial auditorium! the play's crew were all damn cool and equipped with walkie talkie headsets etc, the whole outfit screamed professionalism and $$$$$ haha. lucky kids...
didnt get to see any of our closer old teachers though. as u can imagine we were all feeling very old etc. during the intermission we walked back to the old wing and visited our old class in the darkness to reminisce. BUT! after the play, as is customary, everyone had to rise and sing the school anthem. i was actually taken by suprise. for that joyous minute or so, i felt like i belonged, like i was back in the good old days. i sang my heart out.
another thing about acsi - the girls! wah lau they are ALL damn bloody !@#$ hot!! cannot believe the standard man! you couldnt spot a average looking girl! if only i was born a few years later!! argh!! hahaha.
other stuff:
1) seem to be developing chronic back ache. shit
2) had a bbq at casey's place a week or too ago
3) dislocated my knee again for the 1st time in a while playing u/w hockey. tragically it was when i was on my way to score a superduper-god-like-owning goal (stole puck, sprinted past entire opposing team and left them in my wake. was soloing all the way to the goal). i joked about how divine intervention stopped me, because my ego would have inflated to 2x the size had i scored that goal haha. suay laaa
