nice car, nice ladies, nice food!
weeeee! kai and i attended the official launch of the Lexus IS250 at ritz carlton! was quite exciting even though ive seen a hundred photos of the car before. must have the 'glam-ness' of being in a hotel and all the music, smoke and light effects when the car was unveiled. and not forgetting all the hot models! denise keller was the emcee, didnt manage to get a pic with her though:(
was quite annoyed at the way some people chionged the buffet. i dunno whether it is "typical singaporean" or just "typical human being", but i was really expecting more civility. it was disgusting how some of them stacked the oysters on their plate. the point of coming was to see the cars and not to get a free dinner. the people there werent exactly underpriviledged either. kai and i only managed 1 oyster each. whatever. it left more room around the cars for us.
the car itself is really nice. it exudes real european-like quality and i think it looks better than both its main rivals, the BMW 3 Series and Merc E Class. Its quicker than the equivalant BMW320 and Merc E200 models too (0-100kph in 8.4sec). and obviously cheaper and better value. I really love it! just hope it doesnt become too common a sight and meld with the rest of the characterless traffic. wish i could trade my mitsubishi for it heheehehe. fat chance...

this model is really hot in person. the photo doesnt really do her much justice. she said to me after taking the photo "are you here for the car or the models?" hahaha.
