"Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts
that aside, i envied the well-read mainly because i knew how amazing books COULD be, but me being me, am just too darned lazy to READ. I would rather mess with the computer or sponge off the tv, or do anything else that didnt require an attention span longer than 15minutes.
i did enough to keep up with popular trends, like "lord of the rings" and "da vinci code", but they werent really very fufilling because the motive for reading them was simply to be current and up-to-date with my peers.
right now my body is stiff with about almost 15hrs of straight reading. i started reading at 0200hrs today and didnt stop till 0900hrs. i got a real shock when i looked up from my bed and saw that it was already light (i hate that feeling haha). i slept till about 1400hrs, and read through my lunch/breakfast all the way till now. i actually began reading it about 1 or 2 weeks ago, but then my dog (not kidding) accidentally peed on it (long story), so its only now that ive decided its safe to pick up again, now that it is nice and dry:)
it my not be the latest "fashion" book, and i dont really care about what others would think about it. its really long, its not like harry potter, which is so thick but can finished within a night. really pulls you in this book, i think it will affect me, for several days at the very least. thats something i think.
i still havent finished it, and am in need of some fresh air so ill be going out with the sonnies now. my point is: its really worth checking out this book.
Most of my blog postings are music reviews but I also do the occassional movie and book reviews. Feel free to check it out some time.
